The Process

1.
Selection & Prioritisation
  • Applicants work with our Business Development Manager (BDM) to demonstrate commitment, leadership and capability to drive through energy efficiency measures. With the BDM they will complete the initial factual application.
  • Working with the Client Relationship Manager they work through a more detailed application process. They are then subject to an independent, technical assessment to confirm their ability to deliver the projects and savings.
  • Subject to a successful assessment, candidates will work with Salix to prioritise projects and set achievable spend targets for fund drawdown over the agreed funding period of two years.

2.
Fund
Payment Process
  • A total fund spend schedule is agreed which is aligned with the partner‘s fund availability and Salix fund specifications; typically this schedule is comprised of number of equal payments over two years.
  • Performance targets (including project and spend commitment and effective use of our monitoring tool) are set and reviewed for each tranche of funding.

3.
Implementation of Projects
  • Salix requires a minimum of four projects in the first fund instalment, which will be subject to minimum project values.
  • Priority is given to proven energy efficiency technology with a maximum of a 5 to 7.5 year payback period.
  • Preferred projects are those that deliver long term, cost effective CO2 savings.
