JISC would like to attract the attention of Salix's HE and FE clients to its Greening ICT Programme Call for Proposals, and to the work that JISC has done in promoting Green ICT for Higher and Further Education in the UK. JISC supports higher and further education by providing strategic guidance, advice and opportunities to use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to support research, teaching, learning and administration. JISC is funded by all the UK post-16 and higher education funding councils.
As part of its work on institutional efficiency and sustainability, JISC looking for proposals from institutions that will help move the Green ICT agenda forward. JISC is looking for projects ranging from small scale technical solutions through initiatives led by Directors of Estates to exemplars of the application of ICT to enable transition to a more sustainable future.
