Salix Finance Ltd is an independent, not for profit company, funded by The Department for Energy and Climate Change, The Welsh Assembly Government and The Scottish Government via The Carbon Trust.

Its purpose is to accelerate investment by public sector bodies in energy efficiency technologies through invest to save schemes. Salix also works in partnership with The Higher Education Funding Council for England on its Revolving Green Fund for universities.

£20 MILLION OF FUNDING
As part of the recently announced £20m funding scheme Salix has been given the authority by DFE to provide loan funding for energy efficiency projects to Academy Schools.

£20 MILLION OF FUNDING
DECC have agreed to allocate up to an additional £20 million of funding to provide energy efficiency loans for the public sector in England. This funding will be allocated to projects that are committed by organisations by March 2012 and to be completed before end of December 2012
