Applications for the Scotland’s Colleges Programme is now closed.
Applications received are now being processed.

Salix has agreed funding with the Scottish Government to support an energy saving loans programme for Scotland’s colleges.  This programme is now accepting applications. Details of how to apply are given below.

Colleges can apply for loan funding from Salix for compliant energy saving capital projects.  The funding has to be recycled and so will be run as interest free project loans that are repaid over 4 years in 6 monthly instalments.

Each project must meet 3 compliancy tests:

  • 5 year or shorter payback
  • Be additional to anything that has been planned or is mandatory
  • Have a lifetime cost of CO2 of less than £200/tonne

Notification of success or otherwise we be communicated by mid-January 2009.

Payment of funds will be made on submission of supplier invoice subject to signing the loan agreement. Click here to see copy of agreement.

New projects applications will be welcome every 6 months.
