Salix Exhibiting at NAHT Annual Conference

The conference will be taking place on 3rd – 5th May 2018 at the ACC in Liverpool.

Those attending the conference will have the opportunity to engage with conference sponsors and network with colleagues.

The conference will involve debate and policy-making and delegates will have the chance to hear addresses from the general secretary, incoming national president and guest speakers.

Salix Exhibiting at Academies Show, London

Salix will be exhibiting and the Academies show on Wednesday 25th April 2018 at the Excel centre in London.

The event supports school business managers, teaching quality and pupil outcomes and includes over 100 speakers, 200 education providers and 3000 attendees.

As well as further keynotes and presentations throughout the day, David Carter, National Schools Commissioner will present a Keynote on behalf of the Department for Education, outlining the strategic challenges facing MATs in the near future.

The ‘Leadership & Challenge – Doing things differently’ Annual Conference is taking place on 9th – 11th April 2018 at the University of Kent.

This year, Admiral Sir Trevor Soar KCB OBE and endurance record holder, Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE will be speaking along with higher education and external professionals.

There will be the opportunity to network with suppliers and catch up with colleagues over several social activities, including the conference dinner on Monday 9th April.

The Trust Network is a network for all independently run, state-funded schools providing its members with an opportunity to share best practice and exchange knowledge.

The conference will be held on 11th April 2018 at Corby Business Academy from 9am – 4pm.

New £25 million fund for Maintained Schools and Sixth Form Colleges

Salix is excited to announce a new £25 million fund to be utilised by schools across England for energy efficiency projects. This fund follows a successful 6 year partnership with the Department for Education.

Salix provides funding for maintained schools to improve their energy efficiency. Through the installation of energy efficient technologies, schools can lower energy bills and create a more comfortable learning environment.

Five top energy efficient technologies helping universities to save money on energy bills

Salix Finance has worked closely with many universities, providing interest-free Government finance for energy efficiency projects in line with their carbon management programmes as they seek to reduce bills and meet carbon targets. Aside from the financial and carbon savings, these energy efficiency projects have also benefited the learning and working environments around estates, reduced maintenance costs, and improved the overall standard of estates.

Salix Exhibiting at APSE: Highways, Street Lighting and Winter Maintenance Seminar 2018

The seminar will be taking place on the 22nd and 23rd March 2018 at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool.  

This seminar will explore the core issues which will impact on the sector in the near future as well as the longer-term challenges and provides an excellent learning opportunity for highways and street lighting teams.

Topics include the future investment options for our roads network, new technological developments and innovation in highways maintenance, street lighting and winter maintenance and resilience services.

Over £19 million of BEMS and building controls projects financed across the UK public sector

Salix will be running workshops on BEMS and building controls for the public sector later this year in May and June. These will be an opportunity to learn more about best practise for the design and operation of these systems, as well as how Salix funding can be utilised to help with the upfront costs of installation.
