Salix exhibited and attended Education Estates – 18th & 19th October 2016

Salix attended and exhibited at this year’s Education Estates in Manchester Central on 18th and 19th October.

The event covered primary, secondary, further and higher education sectors, bringing together companies from across the UK who can provide information, solutions and ideas for clients at all different stages in their project lifecycle; from initial funding decisions to refurbishment. 

Salix exhibited & presented at NHS Sustainability Day Roadshow – Birmingham 2016

Salix were pleased to exhibit and present for the third year running at the latest NHS Sustainability Day Roadshow at the Gatehouse in Birmingham on Tuesday 18th October 2016.

The day consisted of a number of presentations, concentrating on the different ways a sustainable NHS can be achieved and congratulating North Bristol NHS Trust who became winners of the 2016 Sustainability Day Awards.

Salix to attend and exhibit at Solace Summit; Connected Leadership in a changing world, 12th – 14th October

This year’s Solace Summit event will be held in Gateshead and brings together speakers from the public, private, voluntary and academic sectors to have conversations around a ‘vision for place’ and explore how this can be achieved.

The Royal Veterinary College used Salix interest-free funding to complete a host of energy efficiency projects at their Biological Sciences Unit in Camden.

The project, which completed in July 2016, was part funded by Salix and the Royal Veterinary College, with a total cost of £528,259. Salix funded £478,259 of this as an interest-free loan.

A holistic approach to the works was taken, incorporating an upgrade to the boiler system, primary pumps and Air Handling Units, as well as the de-commissioning of the inefficient steam plant and animal cage wash system.

NHS Sustainability Day Roadshow – September 2016

Salix are pleased to be participating for the third year running in the latest round of NHS Sustainability roadshows, exhibiting at the most recent roadshow last week at the Wellcome Collection in London.

The day comprised of a number of presentations, discussing what sustainability means for healthcare, focusing largely around air pollution, how this can be measured and the impact it has on our health and the environment.

Salix to present at the S-Labs; Laboratory Design and Services Conference at the University of Nottingham.

The conference is to take place on Wednesday 21st September 2016 at the Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham.

The University of Nottingham have completed their GlaxoSmithKline Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry this summer, showcasing sustainable features and innovative approaches to teaching and research.

Salix are pleased to announce that our next round of regional meetings are being held throughout September & October 2016.  Representatives of Salix will be travelling up and down the UK, bringing together new and existing public sector clients to present past energy efficiency projects, facilitate knowledge sharing and discuss the wider carbon reduction agenda.

Salix launches the second round of applications for the Wales Funding Programme

Salix is pleased to announce the launch of the second round of funding for the Wales Funding Programme,  which combines both the Salix Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme (SEELS) and the Invest to Save -  Green Growth Finance Schemes into one application process.
