This webinar is an informal knowledge sharing event for those working in the public sector on estate decarbonisation projects in Scotland.

At Salix we’re committed to working with organisations to reduce the carbon emissions associated with their estate.

We have three speakers at our event and each will share ideas, challenges and solutions.

 

Our speakers will be:

Stuart Miller, Highland Council

Stuart has a background in construction building services as a consultant and contractor. He spent more than 25 years working as a consultant in Sub Sahara Africa (energy, health infrastructure and project management). He joined Highland Council in 2021 as project manager in the Climate Change and Energy Team, Salix fund manager from 2022 and now operates as fund manager for the council's Climate Change & Energy Team. Stuart has an MSc in engineering management (Bristol) and carbon management (Edinburgh).

Jonathan Coppock, Fife Council

Jonathan Coppock is a chartered engineer within Fife Council, approaching 20 years’ experience in the low carbon building services sector. As lead professional net zero Jonathan is currently tasked with decarbonising the council's non-domestic built estate through a program of retrofitting clean heating systems and energy performance upgrades to a range of building architypes and developing heat networks within Fife. 

Jamie Pearson from Edinburgh Napier University

Jamie Pearson, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Jamie is currently an environmental sustainability manager at Edinburgh Napier University. Jamie Pearson brings experience from previous roles at City of Edinburgh Council and Keep Scotland Beautiful. With a robust skill set that includes sustainability, energy efficiency, sustainable development, environmental awareness, stakeholder engagement and more. Jamie Pearson is also the author of Lean and Green in a Scottish University

 

The Scotland Decarbonisation Dialogue runs for an hour and is via Teams.

The event will provide you with an opportunity to listen, learn, contribute, question and discuss all things decarbonisation and energy efficiency with fellow public sector counterparts.
