Salix/HEFCE Revolving Green Fund 4

Building on the success of earlier Revolving Green Fund (RGF) rounds, Salix and HEFCE have formed a partnership to release funding to support energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects in universities.

The funding is intended to accelerate investment in energy efficiency technologies which will reduce carbon emissions and create financial savings. Examples of projects funded from previous RGF rounds are available here.

40 institutions were awarded over £29 million worth of funding in January 2015 and implementation of the projects is currently taking place.

This funding round of RGF is now closed, however Salix funding for HEIs is still available through the Salix Higher Education energy-efficiency funding programme.
