Salix is pleased to announce that it will be running its first ever College workshops throughout October and November 2018. More information can be found here.

Get in touch now to plan for the academic year ahead and allow for projects to take place during your holiday periods.

Salix has worked with Further Education Colleges since 2009, offering finance from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to fund almost 2,000 energy efficiency projects. Over the last 10 years Salix finance has allowed Colleges to improve the quality and provision of energy efficiency measures whilst reducing energy bills and enhancing the learning environment for students.

Any Further Education College that receives the majority of their income directly from the public sector can apply for Salix finance. Please note that Sixth Form colleges are eligible for funding through our schools programme, for more information contact the Schools Team.

The Salix Colleges team are keen to build long-term relationships with new and existing clients to support them with their carbon reduction strategies. Applications are open year-round, and finance is available for projects to be completed during the most convenient times of the academic year. The team are happy to arrange meetings, on request, and can offer support in discussions with your senior management.

Over 100 energy-efficiency technologies are eligible for interest-free Salix funding including, LED lighting upgrades, boiler replacements and the installation of building management systems. Please find a full list of technologies here.

Applications for finance are technically assessed to ensure estimated carbon and financial savings are reasonable. Salix offer flexibility on applications and can part fund projects that exceed a 5-year payback period.

To tailor each application to the needs of an institution Salix can phase funding, reserve funding a year in advance or aggregate the payback by combining projects with multiple technology types.

To find out more about how Salix have supported Further Education institutes implement energy efficient technologies visit the Knowledge Share area and view our ‘Working within Further Education Colleges’ flyer here.

Apply now or fill in an Expression of Interest form.

Please contact the Colleges Team if you have any further questions or would like to arrange a meeting.
