Local Authorities

Funded by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (formerly DECC), we have been working with the public sector in England for over ten years. Our clients have invested over £411 million in energy efficiency projects in England to date, saving the public sector more than £1.5 billion over the lifetime of the projects.

Organisations we have worked with in England include local authorities and their schools, further & higher education, the NHS and emergency services, resulting in over 1,400 clients completing over 12,800 projects.

During 2016/17, we are continuing to work with clients to receive new applications and are keen to work with organisations as they develop and deliver on their carbon management plans. We also look to build long term relationships by agreeing funding of projects for subsequent years.

Project criteria in England are up to a 5 year payback at a cost of £120 per tonne of CO2 over the lifetime of the project. To download a full copy of the SEELS England application notes, please click here.
