Salix Finance announces CHP Workshops to be held in November and December
Salix are pleased to announce that it will be running Combined Heat and Power (CHP) workshops throughout November & December 2017.
The CHP workshops are free to attend and are open to all public sector organisations. They are an opportunity to learn more about CHP, including best practise for their design and operation, and will provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to meet and share knowledge with peers. Salix will also discuss how its interest-free loans can be utilised to help with the upfront costs of installation.
CHP can generate heat and power across one or more buildings and can reduce energy use by up to 30%. Funding for CHP has been particularly well received for projects in hospital and higher education estates, as their year-round electrical and heating base load allows for CHP running hours which can maximise the return on investment.
Over £38 million of Salix interest-free loans have been used for the installation of CHP to provide high efficiency heat and power generation to UK public sector buildings, bringing estimated annual savings of over £10 million on energy bills. Last year saw a record number of these Salix funded CHP projects completing, with a total of £14 million of funding utilised throughout the public sector.
Dates and locations are as follows:
- Liverpool – University of Liverpool – Friday 10th November
- Birmingham – University of Birmingham – Friday 24th November
- London – Atkins, Euston - Wednesday 6th December
