Salix Sponsors the NHS Sustainability Day Awards 2017
The fifth annual NHS Sustainability Day Awards took place on Wednesday night at Imperial College, London.
To date, the Awards have celebrated nearly fifty winners from across the NHS for their continual hard work improving sustainable development in the healthcare sector.
The guest of the evening, Dame Barbara Hakin, Former Deputy Chief Executive of NHS England was on hand to honour the hard work and excellence achieved across the NHS and wider Public Health field.
This year, Salix sponsored the Finance category and would like to congratulate the winner, North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (NEAS) provides services across Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Darlington and Teeside. The Trust seeks to provide services in the most efficient way possible with a ‘more for less’ approach, providing a superior patient experience with a reduced overall cost; both environmental and financial. By working collaboratively across the Finance, Estates and Environmental teams the Trust has been able to successfully integrate environmental sustainability into its financial planning.
