Wales Funding Programme Deadline Approaching – 31st December 2017

Following the success from previous rounds of funding throughout 2016/17, Salix announced further rounds for 2017/18 for the Wales Funding Programme earlier this year.  The funding programme combines both the Salix Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme (SEELS) and the Invest to Save - Green Growth Finance Schemes into one application process.

The closing date for applications is 31st December 2017 with further rounds to follow in 2018 as detailed below.

  • 26th March 2018

Public sector organisations are invited to apply for Green Growth Wales repayable funding for projects delivering energy efficiency, renewable energy and resource efficiency in the 2017/18 financial year.

Finance is now available for projects with a sufficiently prepared business case. If your project is not yet at submission stage, but expect to reach that point by the end of the current financial year we would still like to hear from you.

Case Study Examples

West Monmouthshire School in Torfaen County Borough Council used Salix interest-free funding of £84,385 through the Council’s Recycling Fund to replace their existing lighting to T5 and install PIR sensors to control the lighting consumption.

Denbighshire County Council used interest-free funding from Salix to complete the first phase of their six year LED Lighting Energy Reduction Programme.

Coleg Cambria used £78,447 of 100% interest-free funding from Salix Finance to install modern, energy efficient LED lighting, reduce consumption and save on annual energy bills

How to apply

Applications and expressions of interest for Green Growth Wales projects can be made via the application portal http://salixfinance.co.uk/loans/welsh-loans

We encourage the submission of an expression of interest to enable the scheme to manage and secure further finance if sufficient demand is identified.
