Requesting final 2025-26 payment
To ensure you are able to claim your 2025-26 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme grant funding, please make yourself aware of the key dates and requirements for requesting your end of 2025-26 payment.
Please note, grant funding cannot move between financial years and any grant award left unclaimed at the end of financial year 2025-26 will be lost.
The final date to submit all documents to Salix to claim any remaining 2025-26 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme funding is Thursday 16 April 2026.
Projects with grant end date 31 March 2026:
For phase 3c multi-year and phase 4 single year projects, all remaining eligible grant funding as per the compliancy criteria must be claimed as part of your final payment request (see key dates below) or it will be lost. If your project is expected to complete after the grant end date of 31 March 2026, you should speak to your Salix relationship manager to discuss next steps. Please see the ‘Completing your project’ page for more information.
Phase 4 multi-year projects:
All remaining year one grant funding as detailed in your Grant Offer Letter must be claimed as part of your final 2025-26 payment request (see key dates below) or it will be lost. Your funding allocation for years two and three (2026-27 and 2027-28) cannot be increased.
Key payment dates:
*Due to the volume of overdue conditions from grant recipients which need to be resolved prior to payment, it is likely we will not be able to complete all of these before the 27 May 2026 payment date. If this occurs, your final payment will be on 24 June 2026. Your relationship manager will keep you informed of your project status and payment dates as we go through this process.
If you plan to submit a payment claim after period 12 (20 February 2026), you must submit an accruals forecast statement form to your Salix relationship manager to forecast your accruals payments. This form and further guidance will be sent to you by the end of January. Please submit your first draft on 13 February 2026 and your final revised draft no later than 13 March 2026. If you do not forecast your claims through the submission of an accruals forecast statement, we will not be able to make payment.
The final date to submit all documents to Salix to claim any remaining 2024-25 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme funding is Thursday 16 April 2026. Failure to submit all the below documents by this date means we will be unable to pay out the remainder of your grant.
Documents required for final payment
To claim your final payment, you must submit the following documents:
- Invoices to evidence Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme spend (other evidence types may be accepted on a case by case basis)
- Schedule 5 payment request
- Statement of expenditure
- Satisfactory information to address all outstanding conditions outlined in Schedule 2 of your Grant Offer Letter (see ‘Addressing grant conditions’ section below)
- If you are completing your project on or before 31 March 2026, you will also need to submit the relevant completion documents (please see the ‘Completing your project’ page for more information)
If we do not receive all of this documentation to the agreed standard by 16 April 2026, we will not be able to confirm that your project has met the terms and conditions of the grant, and this may affect your grant value. If evidence is incomplete or missing then some or all of your final payment may be at risk, or Salix may have to reclaim funding already paid to you.
Addressing grant conditions
All grant conditions must be resolved to receive your final grant payment. This is regardless of whether your project is delayed after the grant end date.
Grant conditions are outlined in Schedule 2 of your Grant Offer Letter (GOL). If you have received a Grant Amendment Letter (GAL) following a change request, please also ensure any additional conditions listed in the GAL have been addressed. Resolving these conditions ensures that Salix have completed all due diligence checks to confirm that the project meets the scheme criteria. These must be submitted for review and resolved before final payment can be made, to verify the final total eligible grant value.
We advise submitting this information as early as possible so that these checks can be completed before they are able to impact on final payment. Please note, we require a minimum of 20 working days to process documents prior to submitting a payment claim as this allows time for queries to be raised and responded to. We therefore request that all conditions due prior to practical completion and commissioning are submitted at the earlier date of 30 January 2026.
To confirm the grant value of your project, and for Salix to make your final payment, we require a final project form and the energy saving calculations for your project that confirms this. These documents need to be provided prior to the grant end date of 31 March 2026. Your relationship manager will send you a copy of your project form to update.
To ensure the efficient assessment of conditions and timely processing, the information provided for clearing your conditions must be final and meet the required standards. Any information that does not meet the specified standards will be rejected, posing a risk to your final grant payment. It is crucial that you provide accurate and complete data to facilitate a swift assessment by our team at Salix. If overdue conditions remain outstanding by 30 January 2026 there is a risk Salix will not have time to assess and, if required, query the evidence provided. Therefore, putting your final payment at risk. Please contact your relationship manager if you have any issues with submitting your conditions by this date.
