Phase 4 Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund announced

The Phase 4 Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund (LCSF) has been announced today, providing grants to unlock decarbonisation skills in the public sector.
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero has made available up to £17 million of funding for Phase 4 LCSF which will be delivered by Salix Finance.

The Phase 4 LCSF will provide grants for public sector organisations to engage the specialist and expert advice and skills required to create a robust heat decarbonisation plan and/or detailed designs which will prepare for heat decarbonisation and energy efficiency works.
The Phase 4 LCSF will be delivered in 2023/24. The Application Portal for Phase 4 LCSF will open on Wednesday 26 April 2023 at 2pm for all eligible public sector bodies to apply.
New features:
The scheme follows Phases 1, 2 and 3 of LCSF, but Phase 4 will incorporate new features. These include:
- Grant value caps
- Funding for standalone detailed designs
- Earlier application window
