Salix team joins Glasgow All-Energy conference talks

The challenges and opportunities of decarbonisation were top of the agenda when the Salix Scotland team joined the All-Energy and Decarbonise Conference 2023.

The team were able to showcase Salix’s work in Scotland and how its work aligns with the Scottish decarbonisation policy.

Salix has delivered £79m worth of projects in Scotland since 2006.

Lauren Donnelly, who works as a Programme Co-Ordinator for Salix, said: “The conference offered us a fantastic opportunity to talk to people about their net zero challenges and how Salix works with the public sector.

“We are always keen to receive feedback on schemes and projects. We like to know about what projects are coming up and we can also talk about criteria to those interested in the schemes.

“We were able to talk with representatives from Scottish Gov as well to some of our clients throughout the two days too.

“The team enjoyed meeting many fantastic people and we hope they will stay in touch!”

This week’s event, on May 10 and 11, was held at Glasgow’s SEC where more than 250 exhibitors from 15 countries exhibited with more than 500 speakers in nineteen theatres.

The Salix team presented on the ‘Heat Decarbonisation Showfloor Theatre’, an open floor where people could pop in and out of talk and events.

Other Events include the Civic Reception to welcome visitors to Glasgow, a ‘Meet the Developer’ event with one-to-one meetings; the Hydrogen Hub with its Technology Showcase; the Arnold Clark Electric Car Showroom. Speakers also came from Scottish Power, Committee on Climate Change, Energy Saving Trust, Scottish Enterprise, Shell UK, Glasgow City Council, Octopus Energy & Midlothian Council.
