Supporting London reach net zero
At Salix we’re happy to share information that may help progress your decarbonisation journey
We’re committed to supporting the UK on its journey to net zero.
Every day our expert teams are working with organisations to achieve their carbon reduction targets, improving the lives of communities across the country.
Today, we’re happy to share information from the Greater London Authority about how it is supporting our net zero ambition.
The authority has provided the below information which may help those in London take a step closer to its carbon reduction targets.
Free Technical assistance – the Zero Carbon Accelerator
The Mayor of London’s Zero Carbon Accelerator provides London-based organisations with free end-to-end support needed to get their decarbonisation projects scoped, procured and successfully implemented, including funding route advice. If your project requires additional technical or business case development, the authority advises you to read the guidance and submit an Expression of Interest via the ZCA website, or contact [email protected] to see how they could support.
Low-cost capital for project delivery – London Climate Finance Facility
Mayor’s Green Finance Fund: If your project is ready for implementation but still requires capital for delivery, then the Mayor’s Green Finance Fund is set up to provide low-cost capital to public sector bodies in London. The Green Finance Fund has allocated £318m to projects so far and is now open for expressions of interest until 4 September 2025. You can find out more on the GFF website or get in touch with [email protected] if you wish to discuss any potential projects or have any further questions.
London EDGE Fund: The Mayor has also set up the London EDGE Fund as a public-private collaboration with Sustainable Development Capital LLP. The GLA say this offers an ‘energy as a service’ model and therefore potentially an off-balance sheet financing solution for those organisations who would find it difficult to take on debt finance for decarbonisation projects. EDGE is aimed at being a single point of responsibility for clients, offering not only financial support but also be responsible for project development, construction, operation, and ongoing maintenance in accordance with the agreement. For more information or an informal discussion, please contact Zhongzhe Wu ([email protected]).
Thank you to the team at Greater London Authority for supplying the above information.
