Salix Presenting at BUFDG Annual Conference 2018

The conference is taking place from the 25th – 27th March 2018 at the University of Hull.

BUFDG is the professional support Organisation for Finance Directors in UK higher education institutions with over 170 institutional members.

The BUFDG Annual Conference is the must-attend event of the year for Finance Directors to network with colleagues and suppliers to the sector, and receive high-level, HE finance-specific CPD. Each year around 120 Finance Directors and/or their immediate deputy attend the event.

With the sector dealing with regulatory, funding, and demographic pressures, as well as the implications of Brexit, Finance Directors will play a key role in the sustainability and success of their institutions.

Craig Mellis, Programme Manager for the Universities & Colleges programme at Salix will be hosting a technical session ‘Workshop 5A: How Universities are Reducing Energy Bills and Carbon Emissions with Salix Finance’ at 13:15pm on Monday 26th March.

The session will outline the work Salix Finance has done in the Higher Education sector to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions by enabling energy-efficiency projects. It will look at the benefits these projects bring to institutes and include various case study examples of projects, as well as details of ongoing funding and how this can be accessed.
