Salix supports the Sustainable Scotland Network Climate Week 1st – 5th October 2018

Today marks the beginning of the Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) Climate Week, in which public sector organisations in Scotland are encouraged to share their climate change success stories.

As part of SSN Climate Week Salix celebrate 12 years of working in partnership with Scotland’s public sector to deliver energy efficiency projects and reduce carbon emissions, helping in the move towards a more sustainable Scotland. Throughout Climate Week Salix will be showcasing success stories from the Scottish public sector, including projects carried out by the University of St Andrews, East Renfrewshire Council and North Ayrshire Council, all of whom have completed sustainability projects which are achieving a positive social and environmental impact.

Corinne Manion, programme co-ordinator at Salix said “As part of the SSN Climate Change Week we would like to celebrate the outstanding efforts Scotland’s public sector bodies have put in to delivering energy efficiency projects across their estates. These projects have not only resulted in significant financial savings for the public sector but have also led to a clear reduction in emissions.  We are proud to have supported so many energy efficiency projects in Scotland and look forward to continuing to work with public sector bodies to deliver innovative solutions.”

The success stories of Salix partnerships will be posted on the Salix Finance twitter page throughout this week, follow Salix @SalixFinance to find out more.
