Scotland event to support public sector net zero ambitions

We’re bringing people together for a day of shared learning, practical advice and collaboration

We’re bringing people together for our Scotland event, Delivering Scotland’s Energy Future.

The free event at South Hall University of Edinburgh is on Tuesday 27 October and will welcome public sector organisations from across Scotland for a day of shared learning, practical advice and collaboration, all focused on helping accelerate progress towards Scotland’s net zero ambitions.

Whether you’re already delivering decarbonisation projects or just starting to plan your next steps, the event is an opportunity to hear from others facing similar challenges, exchange ideas and discover the support available to help turn plans into action.

Throughout the day, delegates will hear from organisations already making a difference through ambitious decarbonisation projects, sharing honest reflections on what’s worked well, the obstacles they’ve overcome and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

Our own experts at Salix will also be on hand to offer practical guidance on funding opportunities, project delivery and how organisations can make the most of the support available.

The programme will explore some of the biggest issues shaping Scotland’s energy future, including the next phase of decarbonisation, overcoming common barriers and unlocking opportunities to deliver projects at pace.

Speakers from across the public sector will celebrate the progress already being made while looking ahead to the work still needed to achieve Scotland’s climate ambitions.

Delivering Scotland’s Energy Future is about bringing people together to share ideas, learn from one another and build on the great work already happening across Scotland.

Daniel Lenton programme manager Salix Finance

Our Scotland programme manager Daniel Lenton said: “Delivering Scotland’s Energy Future is about bringing people together to share ideas, learn from one another and build on the great work already happening across Scotland.

“Public sector organisations are leading the way with ambitious projects that are reducing carbon emissions and creating lasting benefits for their communities. We want this event to celebrate those successes, have open conversations about the challenges, and provide practical support to help organisations move their projects forward.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming delegates to Edinburgh for what promises to be an inspiring and collaborative day.”

Further details, including the full speaker line-up, will be announced in the coming weeks.

The event is free to attend and is exclusively for public sector organisations. Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Please see our website events area.

The formal programme will finish at 4pm, followed by an informal networking session until 5pm. It’s a chance to continue conversations, meet colleagues from across the sector and chat with the Salix team in a relaxed setting.
