Applications and Expressions of Interest Welcome Now
Salix is pleased to be working together with the Welsh Government to invite public sector organisations in Wales to apply to the Wales Funding Programme for interest-free loan finance.
With funding from the Welsh Government, Salix Finance SEELS loans have been used by 92 different Welsh public sector bodies since 2009. More than £59 million has been invested by our clients in Welsh energy efficiency projects which, over their lifetime, are forecasted to save approximately £170 million*.
The Welsh Government has recently made an increased level of finance available to create the Wales Funding Programme, which combines both the Salix Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme (SEELS) and the Invest to Save-Green Growth finance products into one application process. Terms and conditions have now been aligned and use one single application form.
Finance is available for projects that are sufficiently well defined, however, if your project is not yet at the submission stage, there is also an opportunity to submit an expression of interest so we can jointly develop a pipeline of projects going forward.
Salix is keen to help organisations to develop and deliver on their carbon management plans and engage with the Welsh Government’s Energy Service support functions (Carbon Trust and Re:Fit Cymru). We are looking to build long term relationships and can provide funding for projects that are over several financial years.
In addition, there may also be the opportunity for public sector organisations to consider a Salix Clean Growth Fund option.
The Wales Funding Programme carbon criteria, has increased from £200/tCO₂eLT to £278/tCO₂eLT to account for the progress made greening the electricity grid.
