Salix is pleased to be working together with the Welsh Government to invite public sector organisations in Wales to apply for Green Growth Wales repayable, interest-free funding.

With funding from the Welsh Government, Salix Finance SEELS loans have been used by over 40 different Welsh public sector bodies since 2009. More than £24 million has been invested by our clients in Welsh energy efficiency projects which, over their lifetime, are forecasted to save approximately £75 million.

This new programme builds upon the previous work of Salix and the Invest to Save - Green Growth Finance Schemes.  The Welsh Government has recently made an increased level of finance available to create The Wales Funding Programme, which combines both the Salix Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme (SEELS) and the Invest to Save-Green Growth finance products into one application process. Terms and conditions have now been aligned and use one single application form.

The finance is available for projects that are sufficiently well defined, however, if your project is not yet at the submission stage, we would still like to hear from you so we can jointly develop a pipeline of projects going forward.

The closing date for the next round of applications is 16th March 2018*.

Full details on the programme and application form can be accessed here.

As referenced above there is also an opportunity to submit an expression of interest for projects where you may not yet be ready to provide the appropriate level of detail to support a full application, this can also be found on the right hand side of this page.

Salix is keen to help organisations to develop and deliver on their carbon management plans and engage with Welsh Government’s energy efficiency and renewable energy support functions (Resource Efficient Wales, Green Growth Wales and Re:fit Cyrmu). We are looking to build long term relationships and can provide funding for projects that are over a number of financial years.

In addition there may also be the opportunity for public sector organisations to consider a Salix Recycling Fund option, with an extended payback criteria of up to eight years.

*16th March 2018 deadline is to allow Salix 9 working days for assessing applications and issuing funding commitments by 29th March 2018.
