Phase 3 of Scotland’s Public Sector Heat Decarbonisation Fund was launched on behalf of the Scottish Government in March 2026.

The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund from the Government helps local authorities to install energy efficiency upgrades in their housing stock.

Phase 5 Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund will provide up to £16 million of grant funding for the financial year 2024/25.

A further £80 million has been granted as part of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

An additional financial year of funding has been granted for Phase 3c of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

The Phase 4 Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund provides grants to boost decarbonisation skills and unlock decarbonisation in the public sector.

The Salix Recycling Fund is a ring-fenced fund with capital provided by Salix and matched by the partner organisation for energy-saving projects.

The Scottish Funding Council provide accessible support and finance, with interest-free loans for carbon reduction projects for higher education institutions.

The Phase 3 Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund has allocated £14.5m worth of grants to public sector bodies keen to take a step towards a low carbon future. 

Phase 2 Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund has £15m of grant funding with £3.5m ringfenced for schools and academies.
