Phase 4 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme
Devolved authorities
Supplementary guidance on devolution deals
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) will be receiving an allocation of funding as part of Government’s commitment to the pilots announced in the trailblazer devolution deals. As a result, GMCA, WMCA, their constituent local authorities, and some other public sector bodies within the Combined Authority areas will therefore be ineligible for funding through Phase 4 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS).
The final scope of public sector organisations which are eligible for funding under the devolution deals is yet to be confirmed. However, we can confirm organisations that are still eligible to receive funding from Salix through Phase 4 of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme include:
- Central government departments and their arm’s length bodies
Organisations that are eligible for funding under these devolution deals will not be able to receive grant funding from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme. We will confirm which other public sector organisations are still eligible for Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme as soon as possible. Organisations in the Combined Authority areas may choose to start developing their Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme applications ahead of receiving certainty of eligibility for funding.
