Salix annual report and accounts 2024-25

We’ve published our annual report and accounts for 2024-25.

The document sets out all we achieved in the year.

Delivering essential efficiency upgrades to the UK’s homes and public buildings remained at the heart of what we do.

Our work is helping to lower energy bills, cut emissions and to make buildings warmer, happier and healthier places to live, work, stay, study or visit.

In 2024-25 we continued to support much needed carbon reduction programmes across England, Scotland and Wales.

We were delighted to secure two National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA) green ratings for the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme and the Home Upgrade Grant both of which we administer on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ.)

It was a significant achievement because fewer than 11 per cent of the government’s major projects portfolio are given a green status.

By the end of 2024-25, we had awarded £3.7 billion of Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) grants in England for projects with a total value of over £4.6 billion. These grants are projected to save over 550,000 tonnes of eCO2 each year.

We also delivered more than 35,000 energy efficiency improvement measures through phases 2.1 and 2.2 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Scheme.

In Wales, we supported the launch of the ‘Digarbon’ progamme to decarbonise the tertiary education sector on behalf of the Welsh Government.

In Scotland, our work with the Scottish Government saw us support more than 120 projects with a total value of £21 million.

Our report includes six case studies from across the UK, demonstrating the breadth of the skill and expertise we brought to the public and housing sectors in 2024-25.

It also looks ahead to the climate challenges we will face in the future and how we will respond proactively and support the UK government to better protect consumers, lower fuel bills and deliver the anticipated Warm Homes Plan.

Our future focus will be to deliver decarbonisation, innovate our operations, expand our partnerships and maximise the impact of the work we do.
