Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Hive - lessons learnt report

Why complete the lessons learnt report?

The lessons learnt report will be reviewed together with other closure reports and documentation to provide the department with a comprehensive and accurate understanding of the programme’s delivery challenges, successes and key learnings.

This report helps capture what’s been learned during your Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 2 project – what worked well, what didn’t and what might help others in the future.

Your report helps to:

  • improve future schemes/waves with better guidance and fewer delivery barriers
  • share good practice across the sector
  • support your own organisation in refining delivery and avoiding repeated issues

You don’t need to submit long paragraphs, bullet points and brief reflections are fine.

Celebrating successes is also just as important as noting challenges.

How to complete the report

•    Use the reflection prompts to help you think through each section
•    Refer to your lessons learnt log
•    Keep answers clear, practical and specific – use real examples where possible (dates, numbers, actions)
•    Delete grey guidance boxes in the template before sending
